A question was posed to me yesterday, "What would school/education look like if we didn't have a framework for it today?" What if we could design schools/education according to student/community need? ... meeting the students' needs by creating something fitting and beneficial for them FIRST. I don't quite know what this looks like. But, one thing I know for sure is ... that it doesn't look like the public education system we have today. The ideal, would look completely different. And it seems that some of these charter schools are on the right route. In the process, I am excited to have my educational horizons expanded, learning more each day.
(And I also have decided to add a concentration to my degree in hopes of being part of this transformation. :) )
